Southport Workwear wants its website, information and purchasing services to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
If anything on our website prevents you from finding information or placing an order, please contact us.
We can help you identify products, explain product information, discuss sizing or delivery, and take an order by an alternative method where appropriate. We will also make reasonable efforts to provide information in a more accessible format.
1. About this statement
This statement applies to southportworkwear.com, operated by Southport Workwear Ltd.
Southport Workwear Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16734689. Our registered office and trading address is:
Southport Workwear Ltd
Unit 19 Dalweb Industrial Estate
Gravel Lane, Banks
Southport, Lancashire
PR9 8DE
2. Our accessibility aim
We aim to make our website understandable and usable for people with a wide range of access needs. The recognised standard we use as our reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA.
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-off exercise. We consider it when creating new pages, changing navigation, presenting product information and selecting website services.
Our reasonable accessibility measures include aiming to:
- use a clear heading structure and straightforward language;
- maintain readable text and sufficient colour contrast;
- provide meaningful text alternatives for important images where reasonably practicable;
- make links, controls and form instructions understandable;
- support keyboard use and visible keyboard focus;
- allow pages to adapt to desktop, tablet and mobile screens; and
- offer human assistance where the website does not meet a visitor’s needs.
3. Using this website
Depending on your browser and device, you should be able to:
- zoom in or enlarge text using browser or device controls;
- navigate much of the website using a keyboard;
- use browser or operating-system settings to change colours and contrast;
- use common screen-reading, magnification or voice-control software; and
- view the website on different screen sizes without needing a separate mobile version.
The website relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Some ecommerce functions, including product options, filtering, the shopping basket and checkout, may not work fully if JavaScript is disabled.
4. Conformance status
Our goal is to work towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but the complete website has not yet been formally assessed against every WCAG success criterion. We therefore do not currently claim that the website is fully conformant.
Southport Workwear has a large and changing ecommerce catalogue, and the website includes content, integrations and components supplied by third parties. We review and improve the site progressively, giving priority to problems that prevent customers from obtaining information or completing important tasks.
5. Limitations and third-party content
Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not work perfectly with every browser, device or assistive technology. Areas we continue to review include:
- complex product filters, variation selectors and other interactive ecommerce controls;
- checkout and payment components provided by third parties;
- Google Reviews, Google Maps and security tools such as Google reCAPTCHA;
- older product descriptions and images within our changing catalogue; and
- documents, specifications or other material originally supplied by manufacturers.
We do not control the underlying accessibility of every third-party service. However, we will consider practical alternatives and raise material problems with the relevant provider where appropriate.
If an image, document, product option or interactive feature is inaccessible to you, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the important information or help you complete the task another way.
6. Alternative access and assistance
You do not have to complete an online order without help. Our team can assist by telephone or email with:
- finding a product or suitable alternative;
- understanding specifications, sizing, availability and expected delivery;
- discussing embroidery, printing and artwork requirements;
- explaining our delivery, collection, return and exchange arrangements; and
- placing an order through an appropriate alternative process.
Alternative arrangements remain subject to our normal Terms & Conditions, product availability and payment requirements.
7. Reporting an accessibility problem
We welcome feedback from people who experience an accessibility barrier on our website. Reporting a specific page, product or task helps us investigate the problem more effectively.
When contacting us, please tell us:
- the page or product you were using;
- what you were trying to do;
- what went wrong or what information you could not access; and
- your preferred way for us to respond.
You may also tell us which browser, device or assistive technology you were using if you know. This is helpful but not required.
We will acknowledge and investigate accessibility feedback as soon as reasonably possible. Where we cannot correct an issue immediately, we will try to provide the information or service in another reasonable way.
8. Ongoing improvements
We will continue to consider accessibility as the website develops. This includes reviewing important customer journeys, correcting issues identified by users and taking accessibility into account when choosing or replacing themes, plugins and third-party services.
We will review this statement following a formal accessibility assessment, a significant website rebuild or another material change that affects the statement’s accuracy.
