This policy explains how Southport Workwear uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, place an order or use its features.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Southport Workwear does not currently use advertising cookies or use customer information from the website for email marketing.
We use technology needed to operate our online shop, together with website analytics and selected third-party features such as Google Reviews and Google Maps. At present, cookie controls are provided through your browser settings rather than through a separate preference centre on our website.

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website or service places on your computer, phone or other device. They can help a website remember information about your visit, keep a shopping basket working, maintain a secure login or provide information about how the website is used.
Some cookies last only for the browser session and are removed when you close your browser. Others remain for a set period or until you delete them. Similar technologies, including local storage, pixels, tags and embedded third-party content, can perform related functions even where they are not technically cookies.
3. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
| Category | What it does | Examples on our website |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Operates the website and the services you request, including security, shopping, checkout and payment. | WooCommerce basket and session functions, account login, fraud prevention, Google reCAPTCHA and Stripe payment services. |
| Analytics | Helps us understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the website so that we can improve it. | Google Analytics, installed through Site Kit by Google. |
| Functional content | Allows us to display useful content and features supplied by other organisations. | Google Reviews displayed through Trustindex and the Google Map on our contact information. |
We do not currently use cookies for personalised advertising, remarketing or building advertising profiles. We also do not currently use customer details collected through the website for email marketing.
4. Services used on our website
WooCommerce and WordPress
Our website is built using WordPress and WooCommerce. These systems may use cookies to maintain your basket, remember your session, support checkout, protect forms and keep you signed in to an account. Blocking these cookies may prevent important parts of the website from working properly.
Stripe
Stripe provides online payment and fraud-prevention services. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies when payment features are displayed or used. These technologies help process payments securely, recognise trusted devices and identify potentially fraudulent activity. You can read Stripe’s Privacy Policy for more information.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA on selected forms and account features to help distinguish genuine users from automated or malicious activity. When reCAPTCHA is loaded, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information.
Google Reviews and Trustindex
We use Trustindex to display genuine reviews from our Google Business Profile. Loading a review widget may cause your device to connect to Trustindex or Google and share technical information needed to provide the content.
Google Maps
Our contact information may include an embedded Google Map to help visitors find our premises. When the map loads, Google may receive information about your device and your interaction with the map.
Google explains how it handles information in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Website analytics
We use Google Analytics through Site Kit by Google to understand general website activity, such as which pages are visited, how visitors reach the website and how the site performs on different devices.
We use this information to maintain and improve the website, understand which information and products are useful, and identify technical problems. We do not use Google Analytics to send marketing emails, and we do not deliberately combine analytics information with customer Order records to build individual marketing profiles.
Analytics information is normally associated with an online identifier rather than a customer’s name. Google may process information on servers outside the United Kingdom. Further information about the safeguards applying to personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
6. Managing cookies
At present, our website does not provide a separate cookie preference centre. You can use your browser settings to view, delete or block cookies and to control how websites store information on your device.
Browser controls vary. They are normally found under settings labelled Privacy, Security, Cookies or Site Data. Your browser’s help pages will explain the controls available to you.
If you block all cookies or storage technologies, parts of our website may not work correctly. In particular, you may be unable to keep products in your basket, sign in, submit a protected form or complete payment. Restricting third-party content may also prevent reviews or maps from appearing.
7. Third-party websites
Our website contains links to websites operated by other organisations, including social networks, manufacturers and service providers. Following a link takes you to a website controlled by that organisation. Its own privacy and cookie information will apply.
A normal external link does not by itself allow Southport Workwear to control the cookies placed after you visit the destination website.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, service providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
We will review our cookie arrangements before introducing customer-data marketing, advertising tracking, remarketing or materially different analytics technology.
