There is no single best method for every order. The right choice depends on the garment, your artwork, the size and position of the design and the finish you want. We would rather help you choose than force every logo through the same process.

Embroidery

A stitched, professional finish

Embroidery stitches the design into the garment and works particularly well for many company logos, names and smaller branding positions. It is a popular choice where a smart, durable finish matters.

Ideal for larger or more detailed designs

Garment printing applies the design to the surface of the clothing. It can be a particularly useful option for larger logos, bolder graphics and detailed or multi-colour artwork where embroidery would be less suitable.

A straightforward customisation process

Good artwork and a clear approval stage are the important parts. We keep the process simple and give you a chance to check the design before production.

Send us your logo

Supply your logo or text and tell us where you would like it. If the requested method or position is unsuitable, we will discuss alternatives.

Approve the artwork

We email a mock-up for you to check. Request any changes you need and approve the final design before production starts.

We produce your order

Once approved, we prepare the garments and complete the agreed embroidery or printing before collection or dispatch.

Some technical garments, waterproof fabrics, pockets, seams and safety features can restrict where or how a logo should be applied. We will not recommend a branding position that we believe is unsuitable for the garment.

These are the practical questions customers often need answered before a customised order goes into production.

Do I need to choose between embroidery and printing myself?

No. If you are unsure, show us your logo and the garment you are considering. We can advise which method and position are more suitable for the fabric, artwork and finished look you want.

The cost depends on the garment and the branding options you choose. Where a product can be customised online, the relevant charges are shown as you choose the method and logo position. For larger or mixed team orders, contact us and we can help you work through the options and pricing.

Yes. We prepare an artwork mock-up for you to approve before production begins. Please check the logo, wording, colours and positioning carefully and request any changes before approving it.

Our current working expectation is approximately 5-7 working days from final artwork approval. If the garments themselves need to be ordered from a supplier, or the order is larger or more complex, the total timescale can be longer. If you have a firm deadline, please contact us before ordering.

Yes. Customisable products may allow you to upload artwork or provide branding details during the ordering process. If you do not have the right file ready, or would rather discuss the order first, call us on 01704 829966 or email info@southportworkwear.com.

Yes. A team order can contain different sizes, and it may also make sense to use different garment types for different roles. We can help you keep the branding consistent while choosing practical clothing for each part of the team.

No. We only customise garments supplied by Southport Workwear. Even with professional equipment, garments are occasionally damaged during embroidery or printing, and not every fabric or construction is suitable for every process. When we supply the garment, we can assess suitability and replace it if something goes wrong during production.

Yes. Our Southport showroom has a fitting room and a selected range of garments and footwear to compare. If several people are coming for sizing, or you need a particular product or size, please call first so we can prepare where possible. See our showroom information.

Customised garments cannot normally be returned because you change your mind or order the wrong size. If something is faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact us so we can put it right. Please read our cancellations, returns and refunds information before ordering.

Please contact us before placing the order. We can look at the garments required, artwork, quantity and production workload and tell you whether the requested date looks realistic before you commit.
