This 3M Versaflo starter kit is a belt-mounted powered air purifying system for work in certain potentially explosive atmospheres. It brings together every component you need to get started. Add the Versaflo headtop you require and the system is ready to use.
The intrinsically safe motor/blower and battery suit challenging environments where ignition sources must be controlled. The modular design works with a wide range of Versaflo Soft Headtops S Series and Rigid Headtops M Series, so you can pair it with the headtop that suits your task.

Standards and protection
The turbo is ATEX Certified and certified to EN 12941:1998+A2:2008 (Respiratory protective devices – Powered filtering devices incorporating a helmet or hood), EN 12942:1998+A2:2008 (Respiratory protective devices incorporating full face masks, half masks or quarter masks), EN 60079-0:2012 (Explosive atmospheres, Equipment – General Requirements) and EN 60079-11:2012 (Explosive atmospheres, Equipment protection by intrinsic safety “i”).
Kit contents and filter options
The kit contains an intrinsically safe motor/blower, an intrinsically safe battery, a battery attachment tool, an airflow indicator, an easy clean belt, a length adjusting breathing tube, an A2P filter, a filter cover, pre-filters and a single station battery charger. Six filter options are available for the system: Particulate (P); Particulate (P+) plus nuisance level organic vapours & acid gas (+ hydrogen fluoride 10xWEL); A1P; A1B1E1P; A2P; and A2B2E2K1HgP. Choose the filter that matches the hazards in your workplace.
