The 3M Peltor X2 Headband Ear Defenders are lightweight, lower-profile earmuffs. They protect against low-to-moderate level industrial noise and other loud sounds.
The over-the-head wire headband is electrically insulated, often called “dielectric”. It holds steady pressure through long shifts. The earcups pivot and tilt to sit well against your head.

Standards and protection
Certified to EN 352:2020 SNR 31 and CSA Class A, with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24 dB. 3M recommends reducing the NRR by 50% to estimate the noise reduction provided in typical use.
Electrical insulation
The headband is designed for use in a low voltage electrical hazard (less than 440 V ac). An external laboratory evaluated it against a modified test method based on EN397:1995. During assessment, leakage current did not exceed 1.2mA when the outer surface contacted an electrical source. Assess its overall suitability for your application, taking into account hazards other than noise.
