The Blåkläder 2038 Balaclava Inherent is protective headwear for work in hazardous environments where heat, flame and electric arc are a risk. Its flame resistance is built into the fibres, so the protection is permanent for the life of the garment.

The soft, stretchy rib knit sits comfortably under a helmet or hood and moves with you through a long shift. Anti-static properties make it a suitable partner for other protective clothing in demanding conditions.

Materials and performance

59% modacrylic, 39% cotton and 2% other fibres in a rib-knitted, flame-resistant, anti-static fabric weighing 250g/m².

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 14116 index 3 and EN 1149-5, and to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The fabric is tested and approved to APC 1 with an ELIM value of 7.3 cal/cm².
