The Blåkläder 1489 Multinorm Inherent Trousers are hi-vis work trousers for jobs where several risks meet at once: heat and flame, electric arc, static build-up and the need to be seen. The flame resistance sits in the fibres themselves, so it stays part of the fabric for the life of the garment.
The ripstop weave gives high tear strength for a light fabric. The outer surface repels oil, dirt and water, which helps the trousers stay cleaner and drier on mucky jobs. Pockets that take the most wear are double thickness, and the knees are reinforced where kneeling work takes its toll.

Standards and protection
Certified to EN ISO 11612 A1, A2, B1, C1, F1, EN 61482-2, APC 1 (ATPV 11 cal/cm², ELIM 10 cal/cm²), EN 1149-5 and EN ISO 20471 Class 1, reaching EN ISO 20471 Class 3 when worn with Blåkläder 4089. The knees meet EN 14404-3 when used with Blåkläder knee protection 4027, 4037 or 4057, and the fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
Fit and sizing
All Blåkläder trousers fit on the small side. Please order at least one waist size bigger than usual. See our Blåkläder Sizing Guide for detailed information.
Fabric test values
The fabric has a heat attenuation factor (HAF) of 79,3% and a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 29,6%. HAF shows the share of arc heat the fabric blocks. LOI is the oxygen level needed for the material to keep burning, so a higher figure means it is harder to ignite and sustain a flame.
