The Blåkläder 2479 STORM is a women’s waterproof safety boot for outdoor work in building and construction, transport, maintenance, repair and operation. It suits cold and wet days on site, with Thinsulate insulation and a waterproof membrane.

The boot is metal-free throughout. Protection comes from a composite toecap and a soft, flexible textile midsole, and the strong textile upper has reflective threads woven in for visibility in poor light.

Materials and performance

Upper in textile with a polyester lining, Thinsulate insulation and a waterproof membrane. Composite toecap and textile PS nail protection. Insole in soft PU with a textile surface. Sole with a PU midsole, nylon shank and nitrile rubber outsole.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 20345:2022 S7S FO SR HRO CI SC LG. The additional codes confirm fuel oil resistance, slip resistance, a heat-resistant outsole, cold insulation, a scuff cap and ladder grip.

Ankle support and footbed

The inside of the shaft is lined with PU foam in two different densities, giving cushioning and support around the ankle, and the shaft edge is padded. The anatomically shaped insole is made of soft PU with a textile surface that absorbs moisture and helps ventilate the foot.
