The Portwest CD874 WX2 Eco Hooded Insulated Softshell is a warm outer jacket for work in cold, windy and damp conditions. A stretch two-layer softshell is backed with micro polar fleece, then fully lined and padded, so you get the movement of a softshell with the warmth of an insulated jacket.

The fabric finish makes water bead off the surface, and the shell is windproof and breathable. The hood detaches when you don’t need it. Three zipped pockets keep your essentials secure.

Materials and performance

Shell: 100% recycled polyester 2L softshell bonded to 100% recycled polyester micro polar fleece, 280g. The recycled polyester is made using recycled plastic bottles. Lining: 190T 100% polyester taffeta, 52g. Filling: 100% polyester, 160g.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN 342 (0.335 (M².K/W), 1, X), the European standard for protective clothing against cold. The 0.335 (M².K/W) figure is the jacket’s measured thermal insulation and 1 is its air permeability class.

Layering

The padded, fleece-backed construction makes this a warm outer layer on its own. Wear it over a base layer or a light fleece on colder days, and detach the hood when you don’t need it.
