The Portwest DX431 DX4 Winter Softshell is a warm, weatherproof jacket for outdoor work in cold, wet and windy conditions. It pairs a breathable, windproof ripstop shell with a borg fleece backing, so it can be worn as a single warm outer layer.

The sports-inspired cut has a longer back for extra coverage when you bend or reach. Shaped sleeves, an ergonomic hood and adjustable cuffs help it move with you, and seven pockets keep tools, phone and essentials close to hand.

How the three layers work

The outer ripstop face is woven to stop small tears from spreading. Beneath it, the TPU membrane provides the waterproof and windproof barrier while allowing moisture vapour to pass through. The inner borg fleece traps warmth close to the body.
