The Portwest FR416 is a flame resistant hi-vis trouser for work where heat, flame, static and electric arc are all risks. Two-way stretch fabric in the key movement areas lets you kneel, climb and bend freely through the shift.

Storage is well thought out. Zip-off holster pockets keep tools close at hand when you need them, a thigh pocket holds your phone and keys securely, and top-loading knee pad pockets make pads quick to fit. Reinforced, flame resistant panels at the main abrasion points help the trousers last in hard use.

Materials and performance

Shell: Modaflame Work HV, 60% Modacrylic, 39% Cotton, 1% Carbon Fibre, 280g. Contrast panels: Modaflame Work Stretch, 60% Modacrylic, 35% Cotton, 4% Elastane, 1% Carbon Fibre. The fabric is UPF 40+ rated, blocking 98% of UV rays.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1+A2, B1, C1, F1), EN 1149-5, EN 61482-2 EN 61482-1-1 (ELIM 7.8 cal/cm², ATPV 9.0 cal/cm²), EN 61482-2 EN 61482-1-2 APC 1 and EN ISO 20471 Class 1. The trousers are also UKCA marked.

These trousers are suitable to be worn in an ATEX environment. They are also metal detector friendly: the trims are non-magnetic and free of nickel and ferrous metals.
