Additional information

The Portwest FR79 is a high visibility rain jacket for work where several hazards meet. It is independently certified to seven standards, covering flame, heat, welding, electric arc, static, liquid chemical splash, visibility and wet weather. It is also suitable to be worn in an ATEX environment.

The flame resistant treated shell is waterproof and breathable, so you stay dry outside while moisture from the body can escape. A flame resistant cotton lining adds warmth, and the shaped hood, radio loops and seven pockets make it practical for a full shift outdoors.

Shell: Bizflame Rain+ HV, 80% cotton, 19% polyester, 1% carbon fibre, with PTFE laminate and PU coating, 380g. Lining: 100% cotton flame resistant lining, 170g.

Certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1, A2, B1, C1, E2), EN ISO 11611 Class 2 (A1+A2), EN 1149-5, EN 61482-2 EN 61482-1-1 (ELIM 43 CAL/CM², ATPV 55 CAL/CM²), EN 61482-2 EN 61482-1-2 APC 1, EN 13034 Type 6, EN ISO 20471 Class 3 and EN 343 Class 3:3 X. It is CE Category III and UKCA marked.

Additional protection details

The fabric is 40+ UPF rated, blocking 98% of UV rays during long spells outdoors. A sewn-on flame resistant industrial wash tape is fitted for garments that go through industrial laundering.
