The Portwest MX28 is a multi-norm coverall for work where heat, flame, electric arc and static are all part of the job. It protects against radiant, convective and contact heat. It is also suitable to be worn in ATEX environments.

The Modaflame Work fabric gets its flame resistance from the modacrylic fibre itself. This fibre is hard to ignite and self-extinguishes, so the protection stays in place through repeated washing. Carbon fibre in the blend adds strength and dissipates static. Eight pockets, knee pad pockets and a two-way zip make it practical for a full working day.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1+A2, B2, C1, F1), EN ISO 11611 Class 1 (A1+A2), EN 1149-5 and EN 13034 Type 6. It is also certified to EN 61482-2 with EN 61482-1-1 (ELIM 6.4 cal/cm², EBT 6.8 cal/cm²) and EN 61482-1-2 APC 1, and is CE-CAT III.
