The Portwest PS87 Synergy Helmet is a vented industrial safety helmet for work where head protection is required and impacts can come from more than one direction. It combines a ventilated ABS shell with an expanded polystyrene foam liner and a 6-point textile harness.

It is built to take accessories. You can add eye, face, hearing and neck protection as the job demands, so one helmet can cover a range of tasks and conditions.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN 397:2025 Type 2 -30°C/+50°C, MM, OCP. Type 2 certification covers protection against on-crown impacts as well as off-crown impacts and penetration, giving extra protection against sharp objects striking the side, front or rear of the helmet.

Accessory attachment

Two front side slots are designed for easy fitting of visors and other eye and face protection. Two universal 30mm side slots take earmuffs, so you can add hearing protection without a separate headband. Compatible Portwest accessories fit these slots.
