Materials and performance

Portwest Extreme fabric: 100% polyester 300D stretch Oxford with a stain resistant finish and a 200g PU membrane. The trousers are unlined.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 2 (after 25x washes), EN 343 Class 4:3 X with water penetration resistance of 11,000mm and moisture vapour permeability of 50,000 g/m²/24hrs, and EN 14404: 2004 + A1: 2010 Type 2 Level 0 when used in combination with S156 knee pads. In orange they comply with RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2 for the rail industry, and they are UKCA marked.

Pockets and storage

There are six pockets in total: two side zip pockets, two side zip cargo pockets, a large back zip pocket and a rule pocket. Easy grip pullers on every zip make them simple to open with cold or gloved hands. Bottom loading knee pad pockets hold pads in place for kneeling work, and wider belt loops take a wider belt. A half elasticated waist gives a secure hold.
