The Portwest RT31 Hi-Vis Rain Traffic Trousers are waterproof overtrousers for rail work and other jobs where you need to stay visible and dry. Side leg zips with a placket let you pull them on over your work trousers or jeans without taking your boots off.

Taped seams and a water-repellent finish keep rain out. Reflective tape helps you stay seen in low light. Pass-through pockets let you reach the clothing underneath.

Materials and performance

300D Industry fabric: 100% polyester 300D Oxford with a stain resistant finish and double PU coating, 190g.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 2 after 50 washes and to EN 343 Class 3:1 X with 15,000mm waterproofing, and UKCA marked. The orange version also complies with RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2 for the rail industry.

Wearing over your workwear

The side leg zips open the lower leg so you can step in while wearing boots. Pull the trousers on over your existing work trousers or jeans when the weather turns, and take them off just as quickly when it clears.
