The Snickers 6386 ProtecWork Work Trousers are protective trousers for high-risk work areas where electric arc, heat, flame and static are hazards. They suit welding, electrical and industrial work where multiple risks are present at once.

The modacrylic-based fabric has its protection built into the fibre. Reinforcement fabric with CORDURA® and aramid adds durability. A full set of pockets keeps tools and small items organised on the job.

Materials and performance

Main fabric: 55% modacrylic Protal®, 44% cotton, 1% antistatic fibre, 275 g/m². Reinforcement: 39% modacrylic, 28% polyamide CORDURA®, 17% cotton, 15% aramid, 1% antistatic, 270 g/m².

Standards and protection

Certified to EN 1149-5 (protective clothing electrostatic properties), EN ISO 11611 (protective clothing for use in welding and allied processes) at Welding Class 1, EN 11612 (protective clothing against heat and flame), EN 14404 (knee protection) and IEC 61482-2:2018 (protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc). Arc protection is rated ELIM 10 cal/cm² and APC 1 (4kA).

For flame protection too, fit Snickers kneepads 9116 (FR), certified together with all ProtecWork trousers.

Tool storage

The leg pockets are arranged for tradespeople. Keep a phone and pens on the left leg, and a ruler on the right, where the Kevlar® reinforcement helps the pocket withstand wear from the ruler’s edges.

Iron at a low temperature (max 110°C)
