The Portwest FR59 is an insulated flame resistant winter jacket built for the demands of offshore work. It uses the Bizflame Work outer fabric with extra thick flame resistant wadding and a flame resistant cotton lining, so you stay warm while keeping multi-norm protection against heat, flame and welding hazards.
High visibility reflective tape on the shoulders, arms and body is double stitched for durability. A detachable hood, five pockets and radio loops make it a practical outer layer for long shifts in cold, exposed conditions.

- Concealed two-way brass front zip gives quick access and resists wear
- Detachable hood attaches with a brass zip, so you can remove it when it is not needed
- Two slanted chest pockets with flaps and stud closures, plus lower front pockets with hook and loop closure
- Internal chest pocket keeps valuables secure, giving five pockets in total
- Radio loops let you clip a radio within easy reach
- Hook and loop cuffs and an inner drawcord waist let you adjust the jacket at the wrists and waist
- Triple stitched seams for strength and long life
Materials and performance
Shell: Bizflame Work, 99% cotton and 1% carbon fibre, 350g. Lining: 100% flame resistant cotton, 170g. Filling: 100% flame resistant polyester, 150g. The fabric is rated UPF 40+, blocking 98% of UV rays.
Standards and protection
Certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1+A2 B1, C1, E2, F1), EN ISO 11611 Class 2 (A1+A2), EN 1149-5, EN 61482-2, EN 61482-1-2 APC 2, EN 342 (0.321 (M².K/W), 2, X) and EN 17353 Type B3. It is classed as CE-CAT III personal protective equipment.

Hazardous environments
The jacket is suitable to be worn in an ATEX environment, making it a good choice for sites where explosive atmospheres may be present.

- Machine wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Line dry
- Iron at a medium temperature (max 150°C)
- Do not dry clean
