The Portwest FR601 is a multi-norm flame resistant jacket for work where heat, flame, molten metal splash and electric arc are real hazards. It protects against radiant, convective and contact heat and is suitable for use in ATEX environments.
Stretch panels let you reach, bend and climb with ease. Vents on the upper and lower back help release heat during active tasks. Five pockets, radio loops and reflective trims make it a practical everyday jacket on site.

Shell: Bizflame Work, 99% cotton, 1% carbon fibre, 210g. Contrast stretch panels: Bizflame Work Stretch, 97% cotton, 2% elastane, 1% carbon fibre.
Standards and protection
Certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1+A2, B1, C1, E2, F1), EN ISO 11611 Class 1 (A1+A2), EN 1149-5, and EN 61482-2 and EN 61482-1-1 (ELIM 9 CAL/CM², ATPV 9.4 CAL/CM²), with CE Category III classification. It is also suitable to be worn in an ATEX environment.

Metal detector friendly
The jacket’s components are non-magnetic and free from nickel and ferrous metals. This makes it a sensible choice for sites that use metal detection.
Care
- Machine wash at 60°C
- Do not bleach
- Tumble dry at low temperature
- Iron at a medium temperature (max 150°C)
- Do not dry clean
