The Portwest FR602 WX3 Modaflame Work FR Jacket is a multi-norm protective jacket for work involving flame, heat, welding, electric arc risk and light chemical splashes. It is suitable for wear in ATEX environments, and its flame resistance is built into the fibre, so it lasts for the life of the garment.
Stretch panels in key movement areas and pre-bent sleeves help you reach, bend and work overhead with ease. A dropped back hem keeps your lower back covered when you lean forward, and eight pockets give you plenty of storage.

Materials and performance
Shell: Modaflame Work, 60% modacrylic, 39% cotton, 1% carbon fibre, 280g. Contrast panels: Modaflame Work Stretch, 60% modacrylic, 35% cotton, 4% elastane, 1% carbon fibre. The fabric is rated UPF 40+, blocking 98% of UV rays.
Standards and protection
Certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1+A2, B1, C1, F1), EN ISO 11611 Class 1 (A1+A2), EN 1149-5, EN 61482-2 / EN 61482-1-1 (ELIM 6.4 CAL/CM², EBT 6.8 CAL/CM²), EN 61482-2 / EN 61482-1-2 APC 1 and EN 13034 Type 6. The jacket is classified as CE-CAT III.

Why inherent FR matters
Modaflame fabric gets its flame resistance from the modacrylic fibre itself. The protection is part of the material, so it stays in place through repeated laundering for the working life of the jacket.
Care
- Machine wash at 60°C
- Do not bleach
- Tumble dry at low temperature
- Iron at a medium temperature (max 150°C)
- Do not dry clean
