The Portwest PS53 is a compact, lightweight safety helmet made for working at height. Its peakless shell keeps your upward view clear, so you can see overhead structures and anchor points without tilting your head back as far.

The unvented shell makes it suitable for electrical work, and a 4-point Y-style chin strap keeps the helmet securely in place while you climb or lean. It also pairs with Portwest eye, hearing and visor accessories when the task needs more protection.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN 397 (-30°C/+50°C) and EN 50365:2023 Type B (Class 0), giving electrical insulation up to 1000Vac or 1500Vdc. CE-CAT III and UKCA marked.

Compatible accessories

The helmet works with the Portwest PA03 eye protector, HV extreme ear defenders, PW47 and PS47 clip-on ear muffs and the PS58 helmet visor holder, so you can add eye, hearing or face protection as the job requires.
