The Portwest S428 Hi-Vis 2-in-1 Softshell is a high-visibility layer for outdoor work in changing weather. Its three-layer fabric is windproof, breathable and water resistant, with a micro polar fleece bonded to the shell for warmth.

Wear it as a full jacket when it turns wet and cold, or zip off the sleeves for a bodywarmer when you need more freedom at the arms. The orange version suits rail work.

Outer: 94% Polyester, 6% Elastane, laminated to a 100% Polyester Micro Fleece. Fabric weight: 310g.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 as a full jacket and EN ISO 20471 Class 2 as a bodywarmer, with certification maintained after 50 washes. The orange version also complies with RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2 for the rail industry, and the garment is UKCA marked.

Two ways to wear it

With the sleeves attached, you get full arm coverage and the higher Class 3 visibility rating. Remove them on milder days or during more active tasks, and the bodywarmer keeps your core warm while your arms move freely.
