The Portwest S597 Hi-Vis Extreme Rain Trousers are waterproof, windproof and breathable overtrousers for outdoor work in wet weather where you need to be seen, including rail work. Taped seams keep water out, and an eco-conscious water-repellent finish makes rain bead off the surface.

They are designed to go on and off easily over your workwear. Zips at the side of each leg let you pull them on over work boots, and side pass-through pockets let you reach the pockets of the clothing underneath without taking them off.

Materials and performance

Portwest Extreme fabric: 100% polyester 300D stretch Oxford with a stain-resistant finish and a 200g PU membrane.

Standards and protection

Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 2 after 25 washes and EN 343 Class 4:3 X, with 11,000mm waterproofing and a moisture vapour permeability of 50,000g/m²/24hrs. The orange version also complies with RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2 for the rail industry, and the trousers are UKCA marked.
