These ProtecWork trousers are built for high-risk work areas and hazardous environments where heat, flame and electric arc are real risks. The protection is inherent to the fabric, and high-visibility panels help you stay seen in low-light conditions, including on the railway.

Heavy-duty Kevlar® covers the front of the legs and the calves, where wear is greatest. A full set of holster, leg and ruler pockets keeps tools and small items close at hand on site.

Materials and performance

Main fabric: 31% polyester FR, 28% modacrylic, 20% Aramid Kermel®, 20% viscose FR and 1% antistatic fibre, 320 g/m². Reinforcement: 100% Kevlar® para-aramid with HS polymer coating, 545 g/m².

Standards and protection

Certified to EN 20471 – High visibility clothing (Class 1), EN 11612 – Protective clothing against heat and flame, EN 14404 – Knee protection (with specified Snickers kneepads) and IEC 61482-2:2018 – Protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc, with an arc rating of ELIM 8 cal/cm², APC 1 (4kA). The high-visibility fabric also meets Railway Group Standard RIS-3279-TOM.

For flame protection too, fit Snickers kneepads 9116 (FR), certified together with all ProtecWork trousers.

The KneeGuard™ system works with compatible Snickers kneepads to give you optimal knee protection. It suits jobs that involve frequent kneeling, such as cable work and trackside maintenance.
